Treatment train brings together a range of treatment technologies in a modular setup, similar to train carriages connected in sequence, allowing for customized solutions that target specific contaminants. The concept is being tested at four polluted sites in Denmark, including areas affected by PFAS and pesticide residues. While the project focuses on solving these pressing issues, it also aims to develop a flexible and scalable treatment method that can be adapted to future water quality challenges. Through close collaboration between technology developers and implementation partners, the project is advancing the design of a practical, energy-efficient, and field-deployable solution for real-world applications.
