FishEUTrust

FishEUTrust is a European initiative aimed at fostering sustainability, quality assurance, and traceability across seafood supply chains through the development of an integrated digital platform. By interconnecting all shareholders from production to consumption, the platform facilitates real-time data sharing and process transparency, thereby strengthening consumer trust and supporting responsible seafood sourcing.

The project leverages advanced digital technologies and innovative traceability mechanisms to optimize supply chain operations and promote environmental governance. Its solutions are validated through five Living Labs strategically located across diverse marine environments in the Mediterranean Sea, the North Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean. These pilot sites enable co-creation with stakeholders and testing under real-world conditions to ensure scalability and regional relevance.

Through FishEUTrust, the project aims to empower both consumers and industry stakeholders with tools for informed decision-making, contributing to a more transparent, and sustainable European seafood system.
