Just like the OxyGuard multi-channel systems that revolutionised fish farming back in the 1980's, the Commander system is lifting Aquaculture to new levels of technology.
Commander gives extensive measuring, monitoring and control with great ease of use. Its advanced control functions keep, for example, dissolved oxygen levels within fine limits. Programs for feeding control and artificial daylight are found.A second feature is the extensive data logging capability. Both measurements and events are recorded.
A third innovation is the ease of communication offered by Commander. Commander is field bus based, so information of all the measurements and functions in the entire installation is available at any computer connected to the system. Commander can also communicate via a LAN. The use of wireless networking makes sea-cage to shore communication easy, whilst the internet enables someone on one side of the Earth see what is happening in a fish farm on the other side of the planet. It is now also possible to have alarms sent to a mobile phone as text message.
There is a folder that shows some of the advantages that you can obtain with Commander, and a brochure with more information. A System and Component Examples document shows how a Commander systemn can be put together. A separate PDF indicates how Commander can be used for sea cages, this also shows how a wireless LAN link makes cage to shore communication easy. Yet another document shows how advanced control of artificial daylight is possible.
All OxyGuard brochures are in PDF format - you need Acrobat or the Acrobat reader to see them.
